Digital PML now features a collection of materials in the Celia M. Hastings Local History Room pertaining to Edgar A. Sharp (1876-1948), Patchogue native, and the first person to be elected to represent the First Congressional District of New York State in 1944. Most notably, the collection contains a number of photographs taken by both Sharp and Robert Bailey, Sr. while touring, for several weeks after the Armistice, areas of Europe left devastated by the first World War. The collection was donated by Robert Bailey, Jr., Sharp’s godson.
We are also proud to announce that Digital PML has reached a milestone of more than 500 items!
