"How Your Car Works" describes the function of different parts of your car and what can go wrong with them, along with general price ranges for their repair. The "Noise Library" has .WAV sound files of possible problem noises on various cars that you can use to try to diagnose your car's problem.

Old Car Manual Project
A volunteer project that is attempting to create an online library of old car repair manuals and advertising brochures. The site covers car models from the earliest times through the 1980s. You can find a variety of car models covered, although it is far from comprehensive. Some specialized manuals for wiring diagrams, carburators, and body repair are included. The most enjoyable aspect is browsing the advertising brochures.
