Description: Contains repair information and wiring diagrams on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles, based on the Chilton manuals.
Coverage: Over 25,000 vehicles from 1954+, although coverage is spotty prior to 1980.
Updates: Daily.

Mitchell onDemand
Description: Car, light truck, and van repair manuals and wiring diagrams.
Full Text: All records are full text.
Coverage: Main file covers 1983 to the present. Back file has wiring diagrams from 1960-1982 and engine performance articles from 1966+
Updates: Daily.

Small Engine Repair Reference Center
Description: "Small Engine Repair Reference Center is a resource for small engine repair assistance, including: ATVs, commercial mowers, farm tractors, generators, motorcycles, marine (boats), outdoor power equipment, personal watercraft and jet skis, snowblowers, snowmobiles, tillers and other small engines. This comprehensive resource contains 400 reference books in full text with original photos and illustrations that guide the user through every job. The database often contains more than 25 years of an engine model, and offers assistance in providing routine maintenance, such as tune-ups and brake service, as well as extensive repairs involving engine and transmission disassembly."

Though this is a commercial site of an auto mechanic in the Gainesville, FL area, it contains much useful information on car and truck repair. "How Your Car Works" describes the function of different parts of your car and what can go wrong with them, along with general price ranges for their repair. The "Noise Library" has .WAV sound files of possible problem noises on various cars that you can use to try to diagnose your car's problem.

Old Car Manual Project
A volunteer project that is attempting to create an online library of old car repair manuals and advertising brochures. The site covers car models from the earliest times through the 1980s. You can find a variety of car models covered, although it is far from comprehensive. Some specialized manuals for wiring diagrams, carburators, and body repair are included. The most enjoyable aspect is browsing the advertising brochures.

A searchable database of vehicles, vehicle equipment, tires, and child restraints that have been the subject of a safety recall by the NHTSA.
